Steak at New York Steak House

Yesterday (15 September 2012) we tried the new restaurant called "New York Steakhouse" located along street 63 near the Cambodia Senate. The parking space is quite good. When you enter the restaurant the experience is quite different from other steak house. In here they display the meat, scale and the overall decoration is dark red with lots of picture of movie star from the oldies.

There is a hostess greeting us and send us to the table. Once you been seated - they brought you the menu and firstly they asked us if we would like any water or drinks first and they gave us an ipad which is the drink menu - quite a unique menu. But unfortunately we did not order any drink or wine. Just water.

They also brought us the appetizer which is the garlic bread with the saute garlic and fois gras to enjoy with the bread 2 set for each person and when you ran out of the appetizer they brought you some more.

Okay come to the food now, we have ordered:

- Prime cut New York Sirloin 500g
- Green Salad as the side dish
- Mac and Cheese as the side dish and mash potatoes

After awhile, the waiter brought us a red box and shown us - Guess what the box are full of knives and they asked which knife we want to use to cut the beef? and select according to our preference. Another different experience to enjoy.

Three different kind of sauce - Pepper - cheese and some kind of garlic sauce

SO far the salad was great with the mixture of different green salads and bell pepper and cucumber and the salad sauce is strong and punchy. A good salad.

The Mac and Cheese according to my daughter she said it is quite plain and add quite a bit of tomato sauce and some salt.

For the steak - the way they grill is very nice - soft and juicy and goes well with the three sauce they have provided. 

Forgot to tell you that most of the waiter speak English to us because they are not Cambodian. 

In all - that was a good experience to enjoy with your family and friends.
